Types of Arthritis Pain
Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and progresses as we age. It tends to affect hands, knees and hip joints. In many cases, the disease (inflammation of the joint tissue) is sparked by injury to the joint, such as a sports injury or impact from a fall or auto accident. The initial injury seems to heal, but arthritis develops in the affected joints years later.
Rheumatoid arthritis develops when your body’s defense system breaks down. Bones and joints, along with internal organs and systems may be affected, leaving you feeling achy, feverish, sick and tired.
